Project Overview
A full illumination scheme covering the pylons, cable stays, and deck, turning a river crossing into a highlight of the night cruise route.
Background
The bridge is a key stop on the night cruise route, but its original lighting only met basic navigation needs with no real landscape character. The owner wanted a stronger nighttime visual impact without compromising navigation safety.
Our Approach
We designed distinct lighting layers for the pylons, cable stays, and deck railings — linear wall-washers to trace the cable geometry and glare-free recessed fixtures along the deck — with all installation completed in staged overnight work windows so daytime traffic was never affected.
Results
- Noticeably longer visitor dwell time and photo-taking along the bridge on night cruises
- Full installation completed across 6 overnight work windows with zero disruption to daily traffic
- Lighting system coordinated with waterway signal lights, with no impact on navigation safety
